Old Fashioned,又稱「古典雞尾酒」是資深酒客們的最愛。很多新手會誤以為 Old Fashioned 就是純飲威士忌,其實並非如此——最早的 Old Fashioned 可以回溯到 200 多年前,早期的物流和包裝技術尚未成熟,因此酒吧拿到的常常是品質不穩、酒精濃度高、口味辛辣的「原酒」。為了平衡原酒的刺激,調酒師便加入糖來緩和辛辣,加入苦精、橙皮增添層次感,所以也有人說「Old Fashioned 並不是一杯調酒,而是一種作法」。

在威士忌的選擇上,最經典的作法是選用波本威士忌。而因為科技的進步,有些調酒師在加糖的步驟,會選用方便省時的糖漿;儘管作法沒有對錯之分,但糖漿畢竟本身含水,多少會影響口感,所以還是推薦大家採用古法當中的方糖。

1. 在 Mixing Glass 加入 La Perruche 鸚鵡糖一顆

2. 加入 3 Dash 苦精

3. 加入 60ml 波本威士忌

4. 用搗棒搗碎方糖

5. 加入冰塊

6. 用吧叉匙攪拌混合材料、冰鎮

7. 放上隔冰器,將酒液倒入威士忌杯

8. 扭轉橙皮、撒上橙皮油,並將橙皮放做裝飾
