Martini,中文譯做「馬丁尼」,大概是世界上最著名的調酒了——就算是滴酒不沾的人,一定也聽過她響亮的名聲。Martini 誕生的歷史非常神秘,或許是在 1849 年的加州、亦或是半個世紀後的紐約,但不管她從何而來,Martini 都已成為調酒歷史上重要的篇章。

經典的馬丁尼酒譜,是將倫敦琴酒及香艾酒以 2:1 的比例攪拌混合。隨著時間的演進,目前的馬丁尼大多是以琴酒對香艾酒 4:1 至 8:1 的比例調製,不過各種特殊比例乃至於 100:1、特殊風味例如將琴酒換為伏特加、甚至將攪拌法改為搖盪法的變體,都大有人在,並且持續演化更多分枝。不變的是,濃烈又優雅的馬丁尼依然穩坐雞尾酒之王的寶座。
